The 4th International Congress on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine is going to be organized along with The Asia Pacific Geriatric Medicine Conference 2018 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi from 15-17th November 2018. This will be the largest conference on Geriatric Medicine in the Asia Pacific Region.
The aim is to sensitize and reorient medical and allied health care partners in India and neighboring regions with a commitment to improve old age care.
The scientific program has been developed to cater to the needs of a practicing geriatric medicine specialists and will give them a vision of the future of Geriatric medicine practice with the integration of artificial intelligence, mobile technology, telemedicine, machine learning, natural language processing and information technology in the field of healthcare.
The Asia Pacific Geriatric Medicine Network meeting,2018 is being held for the first time in New Delhi. After having traveled through different countries in the South East Asia region.
The International Network for Prevention of Elder Abuse is an International organization committed to end the draconian practices of abuse against the older subjects. The meeting of the INPEA and sessions sponsored by the group promise to engage victims and caregivers in meaningful dialogues to reduce the occurrence of abuse in the region.
The 4th International Congress on Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine will be the fourth in the series, with the previous conferences held in 2009, 2012 and 2015 in New Delhi. The first congress was held at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The second conference in 2009 was held at the University College of Medical Sciences and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in 2012. The third event was held at the India Islamic Cultural Center in Delhi.

The Congress program has been designed keeping in mind the needs of different professionals involved in the care of geriatric patients. While a large focus of the conference will be on geriatric medicine practice, individual sessions included in the program would be of interest to social workers, psychologists, anthropologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and nutritionists besides doctors, nurses and other allied health care workers.
